Kirk Lloyd – Senior Vice President, Finance
Kirk joined Arch Corporation in 2020 as Senior Vice President Finance.
Kirk Lloyd is an extensively experienced and knowledgeable real estate financial professional with a long track record of working with pioneers in the real estate industry in Canada. Mr. Lloyd has over 35 years of Canadian and international experience in corporate and public accounting and finance management, and a passion for stewardship of investor capital.
Mr. Lloyd began his career in 1982 with Samson Belair as a Staff Auditor and was admitted into the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ontario (now CPA Canada) in 1985. In 1986 Mr. Lloyd moved on to Deloitte & Touche (formerly Touche Ross & Co) as Senior Manager providing assurance, tax and capital market services to many of Canada’s leading real estate companies. In 1998 he left public practise and served in senior management roles with several real estate public companies until 2010.
From 2010 to 2020, Mr. Lloyd occupied executive roles as Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer for Potentia Renewables Inc. where he was responsible for all aspects of the accounting, tax, and finance function for a start up solar private company that is now over a billion dollars in assets. Mr. Lloyd also grew the finance group to a team of 15 which reported to its wholly owned shareholder Power Corporation of Canada. Under Mr. Lloyd’s stewardship Potentia grew to be the largest independent power producer in Canada.
Kirk has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto, and is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a member of CPA Ontario.
